Gary Cimperman is a full-time certified tennis professional that enjoys writing on the side.   Over the past few years, Gary has published articles and book reviews in various magazines, including the USPTA Southern Standard, USTPTA Southern Staple (U30 Newsletter), and Tennis View magazine. 

 

In addition, he holds certifications from numerous tennis organizations, including the United States Professional Tennis Association (USPTA), Professional Tennis Registry (PTR), International Tennis Performance Assocation (iTPA), and Cardio Tennis.  Recently, Gary has accumulated numerous accolades for his work on and off the court which include being awarded the 2015 USPTA Southern Under-30 Pro of the Year, the 2015 iTPA Paul Arber Young Coaches - Honorable Mention award, and the 2014 USPTA Southern Assistant Tennis Professional of the Year.  In addition, Gary has been retained as a faculty member with the US Tennis Congress after receiving one of only four scholarships for the 2014 event. 

 

Gary was born in Sharon, PA and currently resides in Valdosta, GA.  He graduated with a B.A. in History ('07) and a M.A. in American Studies ('09) from Pennsylvania State University.  He enjoys anything science fiction, traveling, and cheering for his Pittsburgh Penguins.
